You supply
The letter of instruction and the records as they arrived, as PDFs, typed or scanned. No need to sort or split them first.
It reads
Every page is read and a dated chronology is built, with a document and page reference on every entry. Entries it cannot find on their page are flagged, and undated entries are labelled.
You check and use it
Click any entry to open its source page with the quoted words highlighted. Search the whole brief by topic, then download the chronology as a PDF or Word document to sit alongside your report.

An opinion is only as strong as the facts under it, and those facts have to survive cross-examination. So one rule: no chronology entry without a source page, and no gap papered over.
Page-level traceability
Every entry carries a reference to the document and page it came from. Checking one takes a click, not twenty minutes of searching.
Honest gaps, preserved
If an entry’s quoted words cannot be found on its page, it is flagged and stays in the chronology for you to check. An entry with no date of its own is labelled undated, or shows which note its date came from. Pages that could not be read are listed. Flagged entries stay in the chronology.

Privacy Act 1988
Handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles: encrypted in transit and at rest. Paid matters are deleted on request; trial briefs are deleted on the schedule in the trial undertaking.
Doctor in, doctor out
Trenthos IME never writes an opinion or a report. The examination, the opinion and the report are yours; the chronology is the reading done for you.
Identifying details removed
On a trial you create an account, accept a confidentiality undertaking and upload the brief in the app. Nothing is processed until we have checked your Ahpra registration. The brief is redacted on Trenthos systems before the chronology is built, and the identified originals are deleted within 7 days of delivering the chronology.

Am I even allowed to use AI in a medico-legal report?
Yes - no Australian court, tribunal or scheme regulator bans it. What the 2025-26 instruments require instead is disclosure, verification and human accountability: the NSW Supreme Court requires leave before generative AI drafts report content, the Personal Injury Commission requires disclosure in the report with an annexure of prompts and settings, and the Federal Court requires disclosure at the start of the document. Trenthos IME records its own AI use and exports a disclosure annexure designed to satisfy those requirements. The full sourced map is in our article on what the rules actually say.
Does Trenthos IME replace the doctor?
No. It reads and indexes the brief; it does not examine, diagnose or give an opinion. The examination, the opinion and the report come from the examiner. Doctor in, doctor out.
Where does my data go?
Australia. Files are processed and stored on Trenthos-managed infrastructure in Australia, AI inference included, and are not sent offshore. Hosted in Australia on infrastructure Trenthos controls. Trial briefs are uploaded in the app, never as an email attachment. Identifying details are redacted on Trenthos systems before the chronology is built; the identified originals are deleted within 7 days of delivering the chronology, everything else 30 days after delivery, and every backup copy within 21 days after that. Which schemes and briefs?
Matters are set up under the Australian workers’ compensation schemes: WorkSafe Victoria, SIRA NSW, WorkCover Queensland, ReturnToWork SA, WorkCover WA, WorkSafe Tasmania, NT WorkSafe, WorkSafe ACT and Comcare. The chronology is built from the records themselves, so it works the same way for an independent medical examination, a file review or a supplementary brief.
How do I know the chronology isn't making things up?
Every entry carries the document and page it came from, and its quoted words are checked against that page. If they cannot be found there, the entry is marked “Quote not found on page” and stays in the chronology for you to check. Entries without a date of their own are labelled, and pages that could not be read are listed. The demo above shows how the page references work.
What does it cost?
Simple monthly plans based on the number of pages you process, so you pay for what your briefs need. Launch price for the Solo plan: A$119 a month for your first 12 months, then A$149. The launch price is open until 30 June 2027, and prices include GST. The free trial covers up to 50 pages. Email support@trenthos.com for the other plans and pay as you go.
Is Trenthos IME clinical software?
Trenthos IME is a chronology and document-indexing tool. It reads the records you supply, dates and indexes what they say, and links every entry to its source page. It does not diagnose, treat, give a clinical opinion or make clinical decisions; the examination and the opinion are the examiner’s.
