Eye exam workflow
Structured VA, refraction, IOP, slit lamp, posterior segment and glaucoma assessment, with trend charts across every visit.
Lumen is a modern, ophthalmology-specific clinical system for Australian practices. DICOM imaging, injection tracking, IOL calculation, refraction workflow and MBS billing - in one secure, cloud-native platform.
Most practice management software treats ophthalmology as one specialty among dozens. Lumen does the opposite. Every screen, template and field is designed around how eye clinics actually work - the cadence of intravitreal injections, the cycle of refractions, the conversation between consult and theatre.
The result is software that fits the way ophthalmologists think, instead of the other way round.
Lumen ships with the workflows, calculators and data structures ophthalmology actually needs - not generic templates retrofitted from a broader product.
Structured VA, refraction, IOP, slit lamp, posterior segment and glaucoma assessment, with trend charts across every visit.
OCT, visual fields, fundus and biometry viewed in-browser via Cornerstone.js. Hosted in Australian object storage.
Treat-and-extend interval calculator, VA trend overlay, and intravitreal item billing prepared with each visit.
Barrett Universal II, SRK/T, Haigis and Hoffer Q - biometry imported from Zeiss IOLMaster, Tomey and Lenstar.
Clickable anterior and posterior segment diagrams with drawing tools for retinal tears, PRP and lesions - saved with every encounter.
Every save is a new immutable version. Full history, full accountability - written for clinicians who care about defensibility.
Lumen integrates with the Australian healthcare stack as a first-class citizen - not an afterthought. Some integrations are shipping with the platform; others are progressing through Australian government conformance queues in parallel.
Compliance is in the architecture, not the marketing. Lumen is built to the standards Australian clinical software actually needs.
All clinical data resides in AWS ap-southeast-2. Data sovereignty is non-negotiable.
AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit. Encrypted backups, encrypted Bridge Agent cache.
TOTP multi-factor mandatory for clinical users. Argon2id hashing, refresh-token theft detection.
Every read and write on clinical data captured at the database layer, retained for 7 years - longer for minors and implant records, per the privacy notice.
Clinical entries are versioned and soft-deleted, never silently overwritten. Transient data is purged on a short cycle, and records are destroyed or de-identified at the end of their lawful retention period (APP 11.2).
An independent OWASP Top 10 penetration test by an external firm is planned before general availability.
Lumen is in active development with a small group of Australian ophthalmology practices. Government conformance applications - Services Australia ECLIPSE, ADHA My Health Record, Medical Objects, HI Service and NASH PKI - are progressing in parallel.
